Pikes Peak Makerspace

This combined Wood Shop Orientation and Saw Stop Training class is available exclusively to Pikes Peak Makerspace members. The course provides comprehensive training on woodshop safety protocols and table saw operation.

The first half covers woodshop fundamentals, including basic safety procedures, equipment overview, shared space usage requirements, and cleaning responsibilities. The second half focuses on Saw Stop table saw operation, teaching safe and effective use of the equipment.

Training topics include:

1. Basic setup and operation of the SawStop table saw
2. Safe cutting techniques and procedures
3. Maintenance and troubleshooting

Certification requires completion of an online quiz and a hands-on demonstration. Only certified individuals are authorized to use the Saw Stop equipment. The class fee is $60 for Pikes Peak Makerspace members.
